Business Development Manager – Healthcare

This impressive National Law firm goes from strength to strength and have a fantastic opportunity for a Marketing & Business Development Manager to support their growing Health & Care Practice Group spanning both Public and Private sectors.

This pivotal role will see you drive and support across a broad range of Marketing & Business Development programmes and Client Development initiatives, ultimately enhancing the groups market profile and attracting and retaining profitable business for the firm.

Key responsibilities:

Work closely with practice group leaders, partners and other key stakeholders within the firm to deliver the MBD strategy and priorities for the group.

Develop and build sector specific key client and industry relationships, participating in client reviews and providing account management support to the sector’s growth clients.

Contribute to the development and content of the business development and communications strategy across the Health sector encouraging collaboration, innovation and client service delivery.

Work with legal framework owners e.g. NHS resolution, NHS Commercial, Alliance Framework, Health Trust Europe and NHS Shared Business Service to meet obligations and prepare for framework reviews.   

Manage the firm’s external sector relationships with industry bodies, ensuring opportunities are identified and maximises.

Provide contribution and where necessary lead to ensure all major sector pitches are effectively handled, coaching partners and lawyers involved in major business development activity.

Drive sector cross-sharing, client targeting and participate in key client programmes..

Create thought provoking marketing campaigns and client development activity: connecting clients to opportunities and engaging on headline agendas.

Support and coach partners through the business development cycle ensuring they have the appropriate tools to win work and advance relationships.

Support a BD Exec providing leadership and direction where necessary.

The ideal candidate:

Must be operating at Manager level with strategic and tactical experience gained within an Professional Services organisation.

Have a deep knowledge of MBD processes for professional services including a sound understanding of new business processes, digital marketing, CRM as a concept and emerging technologies needed to win and retain client work.

Possess strong partner and senior stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Be able to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels.

Proven sales techniques and coaching skills.

Ideally some working knowledge of the Heath & Care sector would be beneficial but not essential.
