PR Manager – 12 Month FTC

This dynamic Professional Services Firm are going through a major brand shift and have an exciting PR & Communications programme to deliver.

Reporting into the Head of PR you will take the lead supporting the wider PR and Corporate Communications agenda across specific Northern regions, sectors and service lines. This highly varied and strategic role will see you work across a myriad of communications activity and projects including media relations, the economic commentary plan, corporate affairs, brand awareness through to crisis comms programmes.

Key responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership on the development and delivery of the firms integrated communications and PR programme.

Take a lead supporting senior stakeholder communications and the wider PR agenda in specific regions, sectors, and service lines.

Advise and support heads, senior members and key media spokespeople.

Work closely with the UK economist and PR agency to deliver regular newsworthy content.

Establish and maintain relationships with journalists and high -profile influencers.

Write creative press releases, blogs, opinion pieces and paid-for-advertorials.

Monitor market events, trends and client/competitor activity via sustained market analysis to drive the PR and wider communications strategy.

Support direct media engagement via press launches, target market surveys, speaker platforms, conferences, one-to-one journalist interviews to further the Firms corporate narrative.

Drive and monitor crisis management programmes and lead on social media pushes. 

Manage the Northern PR team.

The ideal candidate:

Skilled in journalism, communications, public relations, public affairs or corporate affairs.

Direct PR experience in corporate, financial, agency or Professional Services media beneficial.

A professional and confident communicator with strong influencing skills, natural leadership and project management expertise. 

Confident to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

Experienced using social media platforms.

Highly motivated, ability to work under pressure and at pace.

Confident to take the lead issues and challenge the status quo.
