This impressive global law firm goes from strength to strength and have a fantastic opportunity for a Marketing & Business Development Manager to support their International Corporate Practice Group.

This pivotal role will see you drive and support across a broad range of Corporate specific Marketing & Business Development (MBD) programmes and client development initiatives, ultimately enhancing the sector’s market profile and attracting and retaining profitable business for the firm.

Key responsibilities:

Work closely with practice group leaders, partners and other key stakeholders within the firm to help deliver the MBD strategy and priorities for the corporate group.

Develop and build sector specific key client and industry relationships, participating in client reviews and providing account management support to the sector’s growth clients.

Create thought provoking marketing campaigns and client development activity: connecting clients to opportunities and engaging on headline agendas.

Advise on pitch strategy, help prepare pitch documents, manage rehearsal for new business pitches and perform pitch debriefs.

Support and coach partners through the business development cycle ensuring they have the appropriate tools to win work and advance relationships.

Work Collaboratively across the matrix structure of Practice Groups, Sectors and Locations.

Identify and organise networking and profile-raising opportunities for the lawyers with clients and prospects.

Manage submissions to the main legal directories and relevant industry awards.

The ideal candidate:

Must have manager level experience (strategic and tactical) gained within an international organisation.

Have a deep knowledge of MBD processes for professional services including a sound understanding of new business processes, digital marketing, CRM as a concept and emerging technologies needed to win and retain client work.

Possess strong partner and senior stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Be able to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels

Proven sales techniques and coaching skills.

Ideally a working knowledge of some of the areas that make up the Corporate Practice Group (M&A, Private Equity, Funds, Equity Capital Markets, and International Corporate Reorganizations)
